FryerMiles is seeking a proactive Accounts Assistant for Wantage, Oxfordshire. The role supports the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring timely invoicing, follow-up on overdue accounts, and accurate cash allocation.

This newly created position offers study support and a hybrid working pattern with 2 days per week in the office. The candidate should enjoy numbers, relationship-building, and contributing to a busy finance team's smooth operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, credit control or finance administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiar with accounting systems and processes.
• Ability to take ownership and work proactively.

Responsibilities

• Manage the aged debt ledger and monitor outstanding invoices.
• Proactively follow up overdue accounts by phone and email.
• Raise sales invoices and credit notes accurately and promptly.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate customer account records and assist with ad hoc finance tasks.
