Job summary

Axon Moore are working with a growing SME in South Manchester to appoint an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant / Finance Officer.

This role involves transactional accounting, bookkeeping and general finance support, with exposure beyond routine processing. It offers office-based work with one day from home and part-time hours available, suitable for someone eager to develop in a growing business.

Qualifications

• Some previous accounts or finance experience.
• Understanding the fundamentals of double-entry accounting.
• Experience with reconciliations and transactional finance.
• Organised, meticulous and inquisitive.
• Willing to learn and develop in the finance career.

Responsibilities

• Sales ledger and purchase ledger.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Double-entry bookkeeping.
• Supporting VAT returns.
• Intercompany transactions.
• Stock reconciliations.
• General finance administration.
• Assisting the wider sales and operational teams.
• Helping ensure transactions are processed accurately from start to finish.
• Supporting the finance function as the company grows internationally.
