Job summary

TPF Recruitment is delighted to partner with a growing Weybridge accountancy practice to recruit an Accounts Assistant. You will support the finance team with day-to-day bookkeeping, VAT returns and client work in a collaborative environment.

The firm offers exposure to a wide range of clients and clear career progression. Ideal candidates will hold AAT Level 4 or be on an ACCA/ACA apprenticeship, with UK practice experience, strong Excel and accounting software skills, and a proactive,

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification such as AAT Level 4 or ACCA/ACA apprenticeship.
• Experience in UK-based accountancy practice.
• Strong IT skills in Excel and accounting software.
• Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
• Willingness to develop career within accounting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bookkeeping records and VAT returns for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Assist with year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare Self Assessment tax returns and support with other personal tax compliance work.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information, answer queries and provide ongoing support.
• Maintain accurate financial records using cloud accounting software.
• Support senior members of the team with ad hoc accounting assignments while ensuring all work is completed accurately and within deadlines.
