Michael Page Finance in Newton Abbot is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join an established accountancy practice. You will progress through hands-on work in accounts preparation, tax (personal and corporate), management accounts and VAT, with the potential for long-term development.

The role suits someone with 2–3 years' practice experience or an AAT qualification (or working toward ACCA). Study support is available, with salary between £28,000 and £32,000 dependent on background and experience.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or studying at AAT level 4.
• 2–3 years experience in an accountancy practice.
• Pursuing ACCA or similar qualifications welcome.

Responsibilities

• Assist with accounts preparation for clients.
• Handle tax, personal and corporate, and VAT compliance.
• Maintain bookkeeping and management accounts.
• Support career progression within the firm.
