Job summary

ACCA Careers is seeking an Accounts Assistant for a Newton Abbot practice. You will take on increasing responsibility in accounts preparation, tax (personal & corporate), and bookkeeping, with opportunities to develop technical skills and progress within the firm.

You may be AAT qualified or studying at Level 4, or have equivalent experience in practice. Study support and flexible hours are provided as part of a supportive role.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified or studying AAT Level 4, or equivalent practice experience.
• 2–3+ years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience with year end accounts, tax, bookkeeping and VAT.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts and tax returns for clients.
• Manage bookkeeping and VAT tasks.
• Assist with management accounts and year-end processes.
