Confidential is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a successful practice based in Newton Abbot. You will handle accounts preparation, tax and bookkeeping with increasing responsibility as you progress within the firm and role.

The role offers study support and a clear progression path within a well-established firm of chartered accountants, with flexible hours and competitive benefits alongside salary.

Qualifications

• AAT qualified, or studying AAT level 4, or gained experience in an accountancy practice.
• ACCA or other accounting qualifications being pursued or planned.
• Background in the accountancy practice sector with 2–3+ years experience, or more.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on accounts preparation, tax (personal and corporate), management accounts and VAT.
• Carry out bookkeeping tasks and assist with year-end processes as you develop.
• Contribute to a growing team and take on increasing responsibility over time.
