Confidential in Taunton is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its friendly accountancy practice. You will support year-end accounts for diverse clients, handle tax returns, VAT, and bookkeeping, while using Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• AAT qualification or studying toward a professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Supporting the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
• Preparing VAT returns and completing bookkeeping assignments
• Building positive relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries
• Working with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
• Working closely with senior colleagues to deliver a high standard of client service
