Job description

Overview

The Department of Clinical Neurosciences is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team. You will provide a full range of accounts administrative duties, following University policy and procedures and best practice to achieve accurate input within specified guidelines and deadlines. The Accounts Assistant will be a primary point of contact with academic, technical and administrative staff and students, requiring effective communication and the ability to give advice and support with financial procedures.

Working in close liaison with the Finance Team, the Accounts Assistant will be supervised by the Chief Accounts Clerk and assist in a range of finance matters, including accounts receivable and payable, purchasing, general ledger and grant activities. You will collaborate with finance colleagues internally and externally to deliver efficient and friendly finance support.

The role is based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and, on appointment, the successful candidate will adopt the Department\'s hybrid working model, consisting of days of work at home and days on site with other members of the Operations Team.

Employment Details
  • Location: Cambridge Biomedical Campus; hybrid working model on appointment.
  • Contract: Fixed-term, funds available for 3 years in the first instance.
