Job summary

Sharp Consultancy are recruiting on behalf of a Bradford-based logistics business for an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team. You will support the management accountant and work within a friendly team to handle AP/AR, ledgers, VAT returns, and month-end tasks.

The role offers standard hours (Mon-Fri 08:30-17:00) with 25 days leave plus bank holidays and on-site work in Bradford. You must be eligible to work in the UK full time.

Qualifications

• Experience across accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Familiarity with sales ledger and purchase ledger
• Experience with credit control and month-end processes
• Eligibility to work in the UK without restriction

Responsibilities

• Work across AP and AR
• Sales Ledger – reconcile ledger accounts and produce statements
• Purchase Ledger – input supplier invoices, payment runs, and resolve queries
• Credit Control – assist with chasing outstanding debts and reporting
• Assisting with all month end preparation
• Quarterly VAT returns
