Job summary

Sharp Consultancy are working with a family run business in Thirsk looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the business. Joining a small, friendly finance team this role will report directly into the finance manager and will ensure the smooth running of the transactional accounts.

Key duties include processing ledgers, preparing and submitting payment runs, dealing with invoice queries, accounts reconciliation, VAT preparation and assisting with payroll for seasonal staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a finance role.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong communication skills.

• Preparing and submitting payment runs

• Assisting with preparing weekly cash-flow reports for one business
• Assisting with the preparation of payroll for seasonal staff

• Monday to Friday – 09:00 – 17:00 or 08:30 – 16:30 (flexible working hours)
