Job summary

Reed Practice is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client's friendly Business Team in Ipswich, ideal for someone pursuing ACA or ACCA qualifications and keen to gain broad exposure to a varied client portfolio with ongoing training and support.

You'll support preparation of financial accounts and tax returns while developing technical expertise in a respected practice. This role involves use of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and CCH across a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 4 qualification or progress toward ACCA/ACA preferred.
• ACA/ACCA study underway and commitment to professional development.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns.
• Preparing personal, partnership and business tax returns.
• Completing bookkeeping assignments and account reconciliations.
• Preparing VAT returns and assisting with Making Tax Digital requirements.
• Supporting the production of management accounts and financial reporting.
• Liaising with clients to gather information and answer queries.
• Maintaining working papers and client records.
• Using accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and CCH.
