Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an Accounts Assistant for a motor retail group in St Helens. The role focuses on daily banking reconciliations, debtor controls, and invoice postings within a supportive team environment.

The ideal candidate has proven accounts experience, knowledge of reconciliation procedures, and can work well both in a team and independently. Kerridge familiarity is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an accounts assistant role or a comparable finance position.
• Knowledge of financial reconciliation procedures.
• Familiarity with Kerridge system is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both within a team and independently when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily banking reconciliation and postings accurately.
• Manage vehicle debtor controls and oversee sales commissions reconciliations.
• Process manufacturer invoice controls and postings.
• Perform general ledger and nominal reconciliations.
• Assist the accounts team with additional administrative tasks as required.
