Müller Group in the UK is recruiting an Assistant Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract, studying towards AAT and seeking to gain hands-on experience in a busy finance team.

The role is based in Telford, hybrid working with 3 days on site. Core duties include daily banking, ledger maintenance, VAT data prep and month-end activities, offering clear development opportunities within a market-leading FMCG brand.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 2 (commenced/minimum).
• SAP experience preferable.
• Excel - Intermediate level.
• Must be able to think clearly, deliver quickly and accurately.
• Persistent, resourceful, self-motivated and able to work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Daily banking duties, including Bank reconciliations
• Balance sheet data preparation
• Prepare VAT return data
• Preparation and posting of journals, accruals and prepayments
• Assisting with month end and year end process
• Inter Company Recharges and reconciliations
• Providing information to the external auditors as required
• Extensive use of Excel spreadsheets
• Reconciling and Processing Payroll journals
