Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a rapidly growing technology business operating in a specialist field. Over the last 4 years, the company has expanded from a team of 15 to over 100 employees, now achieving a turnover in excess of £20 million. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic team as part of their UK Finance function.

This position is initially offered on a 3-month fixed-term contract basis, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role. The successful candidate will be working closely with a friendly and professional finance team that includes Commercial Finance, Financial Accounts, FP&A, and a collaborative leadership team.

What will the Finance Assistant role involve?
  • Processing purchase orders and purchase invoices using Xero

  • Raising sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner

  • Nominal coding

  • Supporting credit control functions

  • Managing the finance team mailbox

  • Providing general finance administrative support to the wider team

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Assistant vacancy:
  • Experience working in a finance or accounts assistant role

  • Good working knowledge of Xero or similar accounting software

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to change

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Additional benefits and information for the role of Finance Assistant:
  • Hybrid working (1 day from home, 4 days in office)

  • 37.5 hour working week with flexible working hours between 10am - 4pm

  • Opportunity to transition from temporary to permanent employment
