Job summary

Distinct Recruitment is recruiting an Accounts Assistant for our Nottingham client. You will join an established Finance team and take ownership of your own portfolio of projects, gaining exposure across the full accounting cycle from AP/AR to management accounts.

The role offers hybrid working once established, flexible hours and 26 days holiday. Up to £29,000 with DOE plus full study support after probation and a performance bonus to reward development.

Qualifications

• Solid AP/AR experience with end-to-end processing.
• Experience across full accounting cycle including month-end.
• Willingness to develop into management accounting.

Responsibilities

• Own portfolio of projects within the accounting scope.
• Perform AP/AR, bank reconciliations and cash allocations.
• Assist with month-end accruals, prepayments and trial balance.

Accounts Assistant | Nottingham | Up to £29,000 + full study support | Perm

A great opportunity for an Accounts Assistant who wants more than a purely transactional role. Joining an established Finance team, reporting to multiple project accountants, you will take ownership of your own portfolio of projects and gain broad exposure across the full accounting cycle, including:

• Full process AP & AR
• Banking and reconciliations
• Cash allocation
• Month end Accruals & prepayments
• Management accounts
• Trial Balance

This is a particularly good opportunity for someone with solid AP and AR experience who wants to develop further into management accounting and broaden their overall Finance experience. You will be joining a friendly, supportive and established Finance team, with plenty of experience around you to learn from and the opportunity to work closely with Project Accountants across a varied portfolio.
