About Us:
Hays Accountancy and Finance are working exclusively with a supportive and friendly finance team within the public sector, dedicated to maintaining high standards of financial management and accountability. They are seeking a temporary Accounts Assistant who can start as soon as possible to support the wider team for up to 6 months.

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team. This role offers the flexibility of working three days a week from home and two days a week in our office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our finance department, particularly in managing a large backlog of bank reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general accounts assistant tasks, including data entry, invoice processing, and maintaining financial records.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the finance team in preparing financial reports and statements.
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
