Reed is seeking an Assistant Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant for a role in the manufacturing sector. The candidate should be AAT Level 4 qualified or recently started ACCA or CIMA, with 2 years’ experience in accounts, and open to completing an Accounts Apprenticeship with full study support toward ACCA or CIMA.

An established client of ours in the manufacturing industry are looking for an Assistant Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant who is either AAT Level 4 qualified or recently started their ACCA or CIMA, with 2 years' experience of working within accounts (desirable). Ideally open to someone who has completed an Accounts Apprenticeship after leaving school or college and now looking for full study support towards ACCA or CIMA. This is starting off as an Accounts Assistant and potential to grow into an Assistant Management Accountant role.

The role is intended to provide a clear development route into a management accountant position. As the successful candidate gains experience, they will have the opportunity to take greater ownership of:

• Monthly management accounts for assigned Group entities
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Financial and operational variance analysis
• Product and customer profitability
• Audit coordination
• Process improvement and reporting automation
• AP and AR for one entity

Skills, Qualifications, Experience, Competence required

• School leaver who has gone on to do AAT Level 4 qualification or Looking for someone who has completed an Apprenticeship and looking to start a career in Finance
• Recently commenced, or intending to commence, a professional accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.
• 2+ years' experience working in an accounts department (desirable)
• Good understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and double entry.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership and continually improve processes.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
