RG Consultancy is working with a growing manufacturing company based in Heywood, recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their small finance team. The role offers support across various accounting functions and is ideal for someone aiming to gain more comprehensive experience and become AAT qualified.

The Role
  • Support purchase and sales ledger duties
  • Process bank payments in multiple currencies
  • Perform credit control activities, open and maintain customer accounts, chase debts, and handle customer queries
  • Assist with management accounts, reporting, and month-end processes
  • Support year-end and audit preparations
  • Assist with payroll
  • Handle ad hoc and general office duties, including managing phone calls and emails, as directed by the management accountant
The Person
  • AAT qualified or studying (desirable)
  • At least 2 years of experience in an accounts or finance role
  • Enthusiastic with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities
  • Good communication skills and confident phone manner
  • Strong MS Excel skills with minimal supervision
