We are seeking a versatile Accounts Assistant to join our clients dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of accounting skills, with proficiency in various aspects of financial management including balance sheet reconciliation, payroll control, creditors, debtors, and intercompany trading. An AAT qualification would be desirable for this role.
#### Responsibilities for the position of Accounts Assistant (All-Rounder):
- Conducting Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Managing Fixed Assets records.
- Liaising with HMRC on tax matters.
- Handling Creditors and Debtors accounts.
- Managing intercompany trading transactions.
- Posting Journals and managing variances.
- Month-end processing tasks.
- Importing and reconciling Sales Invoices.
- Generating Purchase Order numbers.
- Inputting and importing Purchase Invoices.
- Posting and allocating Daily Cash receipts.
- Performing Bank reconciliations.
- Maintaining Sales Ledger Statements and housekeeping.
- Conducting Credit control activities.
- Inputting Duty Sales and managing VAT.
- Reconciling intercompany transactions.
- Processing Bank Transfers (intercompany, BACS, Priority payments).
- Undertaking ad-hoc financial processes as required.
#### Required Skills & Qualifications for the Accounts Assistant (All-Rounder):
- Demonstrable experience in a broad spectrum of accounting functions.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- AAT qualification would be advantageous.
- Experience with Sage 200 and Sage 50 is beneficial.
