I am working with a thriving business based in Colne who are now looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent and full-time basis. This business is benefitting from a surge of organic growth, where they have successfully doubled their financial turnover to £20 million in the last 5 years.
As an Accounts Assistant, you will manage the company cashbook and petty cash, reconcile company bank accounts, process and deal with all debtors and creditors, ensuring transactions are valid and reconciled. You will support the FD with management accounts, including maintaining the company's fixed asset register, processing prepayments, accruals, VAT, supplier reconciliation, and bank reconciliation. Additionally, you will be involved in transactional duties such as purchase ledger processing, sales ledger, and payroll administration.
This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, with hours per week and flexibility to finish early on Fridays.
To succeed in this position, you should have recent experience in a similar role and be able to hit the ground running. You must be highly organized, capable of managing your workload independently, and confident in learning new systems. Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, is essential, and experience with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
The salary for this role is £31,000 per annum. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a healthcare cash plan, hybrid working, onsite parking, and full study support towards CIMA / ACCA qualifications.
