Job summary

Cadent Gas is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join the Totex Finance team, supporting the Property function from our Ansty Business Park office near Coventry.

You will help leaders understand financial performance, plan ahead and drive improvements, working with Finance, Property and Commercial teams to provide trusted financial support and challenge where needed.

Qualifications

• Professional Qualification – ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Technical Knowledge – IFRS and UK accounting standards, including lease accounting.
• Management Accounting Experience – Experience producing financial reports, budgets, forecasts and analysis.
• Excel Expertise – Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling and working with large datasets.
• Strong Relationships – The ability to build trust and work effectively with colleagues across different teams.
• Analytical Thinking – A curious mindset, strong attention to detail and the ability to turn data into insight.
• Communication Skills – Confidence explaining financial information clearly to non-financial audiences.
• Ownership & Initiative – A proactive approach with a focus on improving processes and finding better ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly management and financial accounting process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
