Overview

Join our Integration & Projects team within the Global Accounting Centre as a Project Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract. In this role you will play a crucial role in overseeing Accounting change projects, specifically focusing on system migration within our Reinsurance Division. You’ll collaborate with Subject Matter Experts from various Accounting functions to ensure seamless transitions in Management Reporting, Statutory Reporting, Treasury, and Client Money requirements. You’ll engage with key stakeholders across the Global Accounting Centre and central project team to deliver successful project outcomes.


How you'll make an impact

Planning and managing the delivery of change projects, developing and maintaining plans, identifying and managing risk, monitoring and reporting progress, and managing SME’s and stakeholders to ensure delivery against tight time frames. Tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • To lead the Integration accounting activities for our Reinsurance division and fully implement the future target operating model/strategy.
  • Developing and leading the implementation of detailed project plans.
  • Facilitating workshops and engaging participants from across Accounting to develop project plans.
  • Co-ordinating project resource requirements.
  • Key representative on Operational/Steering Committees ensuring key risks and issues are flagged to senior leadership and mitigated as necessary.
  • Monitoring and tracking progress on a regular basis, re-prioritising as needed against delivery timelines whilst keeping stakeholders appraised of progress.

About You

  • Accountancy Qualification desirable (ACCA/CA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Portfolio, Programme and/or Project Management certification desired.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management, business improvement and change management methodologies.
  • Previous experience of leading finance transformation projects.
  • Experience of managing & leading projects in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrable full life cycle project manager experience, along with experience of leading multi-site projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including Executives and senior level management.
  • A self-starter, deadline driven; able to set / adjust priorities, including when under timeline pressure.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to think strategically as well as operate at a detailed level and deep-dive where needed, comfortable with conducting analysis and handling financial data and making recommendations to a variety of audiences.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
