Cromwell Group (Holdings) Ltd is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting and to develop a high-performing accounting team. You will combine hands-on accounting with people leadership, owning key areas of the month-end close and ensuring controlled, high-standard reporting.

You will transform how the Accounting team operates, partnering with FP&A, Data & Systems and other stakeholders to simplify, standardise and automate processes.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification with strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience leading, coaching or mentoring colleagues within a finance or accounting team.
• Strong experience managing month-end close and delivering accurate financial reporting to deadline.
• Proven track record of improving accounting processes, controls and ways of working.
• Continuous improvement mindset with experience simplifying, standardising or automating finance processes; strong stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the month end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting within deadlines.
• Take ownership of key balance sheet and P&L areas, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, with clear commentary.
• Lead, coach and develop Management Accountants and Assistant Accountants, strengthening controls and processes.
• Drive simplification, standardisation and automation of finance processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Partner with FP&A and operational teams to provide accounting guidance and support transformation initiatives.
