Zurich in Swindon invites applications for the Accounting Industrial Placement Programme 2027. The one-year placement offers real responsibility, mentoring, and exposure to projects that add value for customers and the business.

You will gain hands-on accounting experience, work in a hybrid setup, and could lead to a graduate opportunity starting in 2027. Salary is £24,968.58 with 28 days holiday plus 3 volunteering days, private medical cover, a 12% company pension contribution and an annual

• A numerate degree is preferred
• Predicted 2:1 degree at university
• At least 96 UCAS points from 3 A-Level subjects (or equivalent)
• Minimum C/4 in English & Maths at GCSE (or equivalent)
• Hybrid/face-to-face training; commutable distance to the assigned office; initial full-time in-office work.

Responsibilities

• Work on real projects that deliver value to the business and customers.
• Assist in developing MI for management and provide financial support to the business.
• Participate in process transformation and accounting activities with guidance from industry experts.

What you’ll need:

• You must have an indefinite, full right to work and reside in the UK. We cannot accept applications from those who require sponsorship to work in the UK. You must have resided in the UK for a minimum of three consecutive years.
• As Accounting is based in numbers, we prefer a numeric degree, but this isn’t a requirement. A passion for becoming an effective accountant ismoreimportant.
• Predicted 2:1(or equivalent) placement year degree at university.
• At least 96 UCAS points from 3 A-Level subjects (or equivalent).
• A minimum C/4 grade in both English and Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent).
• Although we are a hybrid workforce, you should be within a commutable distance to your assigned office workplace stated in this advert. At the beginning of the scheme you’ll need to work full-time in the office. This will help with face-to-face training, building your personal brand and broadening your network. Depending on the team you are placed in, there may be a requirement to work in the office for most of the working week.
