Job summary

DoorDash, operating under a Deliveroo contract, is seeking an Engineer for Accounting Infrastructure and Systems in its London-based team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and data pipelines that power accounting, reconciliation, and financial reporting workflows.

You will work closely with Finance, Accounting, and fellow engineers to translate complex financial requirements into reliable, auditable, automated systems, mentoring junior engineers and shaping team

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years of experience in software or data engineering, with ownership of backend or data infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems and data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with modern data stack tools (Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran).
• Understanding of revenue recognition, reconciliation, and auditability for financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of accounting infrastructure projects, designing and building backend services, data pipelines, and integrations powering financial reporting at scale.
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounting to translate financial and regulatory requirements into auditable, automated systems.
• Shape architectural direction and engineering best practices; mentor junior engineers.
• Improve data accuracy, pipeline reliability, and system performance in a compliance-focused environment.
