Job summary

ScottishPower, part of the Iberdrola Group, is seeking a Financial Accounting & Transactions Manager to lead IFRS reporting, governance and transaction activities across a portfolio of renewable energy investments. Based in Glasgow with hybrid working, you will collaborate with JV partners, lenders and Iberdrola Group functions to ensure robust financial governance.

• Qualified accountant with significant experience in financial accounting, reporting or financial control.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and complex accounting matters.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

• Experience with SAP and SAP-BPC.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, year-end and statutory reporting across a complex portfolio of entities with IFRS governance.
• Oversee key controls, balance sheet integrity and audit readiness and manage risks.
• Lead JV partner relationships and financing activities with lender reporting and covenants.
• Provide financial leadership on acquisitions, divestments and business change initiatives.
• Develop the team, drive continuous improvement and model leadership within Control.

Working within Corporate Control, you'll provide leadership across financial reporting, governance, compliance and transaction activities for a range of strategically important renewable energy investments.This is a high-profile position offering the opportunity to influence major renewable energy projects, support acquisitions and divestments, and work across a broad stakeholder network including joint venture partners, lenders, executive leadership teams and Iberdrola Group functions. You'll help ensure robust financial governance while supporting the growth of renewable energy infrastructure and contributing to our journey towards Net Zero. ***What you'll be doing***You'll take ownership of month-end, year-end and statutory reporting activities across a complex portfolio of entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies. You'll oversee key controls, balance sheet integrity and audit readiness, challenging issues proactively and ensuring financial risks are identified and appropriately managed.You'll lead relationships with joint venture partners and support financing activities by ensuring compliance with lender reporting requirements and project finance covenants. And you'll provide financial leadership on acquisitions, divestments and business change initiatives, ensuring appropriate accounting treatments, controls and systems are implemented. Alongside this, you'll develop your team, drive continuous improvement and act as a senior role model within the Control function. ***What you'll bring***We're looking for a qualified accountant with significant experience in financial accounting, reporting or financial control within a complex environment.
