General Summary:

This position reports to the Accounting Manager or their designee and is located in Kannapolis, NC, USA. The Accounting Analyst plays a key role in the daily operations of the finance team, ensuring best practices in processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and general ledger transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Promote teamwork and effective communication to develop strong working relationships across all personnel and departments.
2. Accounts Payable: Lead the process including vendor setup, invoice processing, resolving invoice queries, statement reconciliations, and payment processing. Prepare mid-month and end-of-month payment proposals.
3. Accounts Receivable: Handle transactions including customer setup, invoicing, resolving invoice queries, statements, and collections.
4. Treasury: Manage payments through banking systems, record bank entries in the ERP, reconcile bank statements, and handle general ledger entries for month-end reporting. Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
5. Other duties: Support credit card and expense reporting, assist with ERP upgrades, prepare documentation for audits, follow safety regulations, and perform other tasks as assigned.

Education and Work Experience:

College or university degree in Accounting with at least 3 years relevant experience preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel
• Understanding of current role/process and ability to articulate it
• Examples of good written/verbal skills, teamwork, analytical aptitude, urgency, and attention to detail
• Experience with Microsoft D365 is preferred
• Ability to work under pressure, maintaining high standards
• Teamwork skills and a positive, helpful attitude

Equipment and Applications:

Computer with MS Office suite, including D365.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Ability to prioritize and work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment. May require domestic and international travel, long hours, and physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and manual dexterity. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, rigs, debris, and hazardous fluids. Compliance with health and safety policies is mandatory.

This job may involve additional duties as reasonably assigned by the manager.
