Job description

As a key member of the Nationwide finance team, reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for the financial management of Nationwide’s £40bn+ Buy-to-let (BTL) mortgage book.

Your responsibilities include monthly management accounts, analysing mortgage reprices, and providing in-depth analysis of actual and forecast book performance. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure financial performance is well understood and integrated into decision-making.

We offer hybrid working arrangements, supporting collaboration and flexibility. You will spend at least two days per week at our Bournemouth office, with further details provided upon successful application. More about our hybrid approach can be found here.

What you’ll be doing

• Collaborating with the BTL Product and Pricing team to analyse mortgage performance for Committee reporting and support product development.
• Managing weekly and monthly reports for stakeholders, providing detailed analysis of business performance against forecasts and market trends.
• Maintaining a strong control environment by reviewing and improving key processes and controls.
• Responding to ad-hoc queries from finance and other departments.

About you

• Recently qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA), seeking a new challenge or transition from practice.
• Experience in Financial Services is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong communication skills for data presentation and stakeholder engagement.
• Proven analytical skills and proficiency in Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
