Accountant - Lease Accounting UK & IE - 1 Year Contract

Company Description

Job Description

The role involves a wide range of Lease Accounting tasks. You will work within our property accounts team and collaborate closely with the Accounts and Expansion/Legal teams. The environment is fast-paced and constantly evolving.

1. Responsible for all rent-related costs - Fixed Rent, Turnover Rent, Service charge, Insurance, storage, Merchant association fees.
2. Coordinate with Lease Admin to ensure landlords/Agents receive Turnover certificates as per lease conditions and update leases for IFRS 16 & Non IFRS 16 on Lima.
3. Manage emails related to remittances, payment queries, turnover queries, and completion statements.
4. Work with external auditors.
5. Prepare high-standard Balance Sheet reconciliations for lease assets, liabilities, prepayments, and accruals, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
6. Support the Senior Accountant and Lease Admin with ad hoc requests.
7. Collaborate with stakeholders to meet internal reporting deadlines and regulatory requirements.
8. Embrace change and seek continuous improvement.

Mandatory qualifications include:

• Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
• Experience in Retail / Lease Accounting
• Experience in Turnover Lease Accounting
• Understanding of Capital Accounting and leasehold/property legislation

Nice to have:

• Experience in SAP
