Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a BI Developer to join our Head Office analytics team in Bradford. You will build Looker/Looker Studio dashboards, automate weekly reports and transform data into clear insights for business decisions.

You will partner with finance and technology teams to drive efficiency and performance across the retail organisation. Applicants should be comfortable working with Google Sheets data flows, possess strong Excel/Sheets skills, and have experience delivering dashboards in

• MS Excel / Google Sheets to an intermediate level (advanced preferred).

More about the role

As part of a fast paced retail environment, the BI Developer will work closely with both our finance and technology teams as well as cross functionally across the organisation

to:

• Remove unnecessary effort though automation of standard weekly reporting
• Help solve business problems through a data, reporting, dashboards, visualisations lens
• Build Looker / Looker studio dashboards and associated data flow processes - create insights from data via Google sheet reports / outputs
• Improve our performance and outcomes
• Work with data to answer ad-hoc queries / support business projects

This role provides key analytical information and insight across the business through 'Standard Weekly Reporting' to assist in the investigation, development and improvement

of performance. There will be a strong focus on continuous improvement, removing unnecessary effort and creating efficiencies, through automation of manual reporting

processes by ultising the power of Google sheets, Looker, Looker studio and other analytical data platforms.

Skills:

• Proven ability to assimilate complex data and transform into information to support business decision making.
• Ability to set and work to targets and deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy
• Planning and prioritising daily workload to meet tight deadlines
• MS Excel / Google sheets to an intermediate level is required but an advanced level is preferable.
• A knowledge of Google Looker and/ or Python is advantageous

Experience:

• Experience of building reports and creating insight in Excel / Google sheets
• Experience of building reporting dashboards. Power BI / Tableau / Looker Studio
• Ability to work in a fast paced pressurised environment taking ownership for and delivering improvements
• Proven ability for development of insightful reporting, analysis of same to provide meaningful actions.
