We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our global finance team at Bentley Systems, Incorporated, a publicly traded company. The ideal candidate will support day-to-day accounting functions and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial records while contributing to quarterly and annual reporting processes required for public companies.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with external quarterly reviews and year-end, providing documentation and explanations as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data and information
• Analyze financial data for variances, trends, and issues requiring attention
• Support preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) and related schedules
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements

What You Bring to The Team:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent training and experience
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience; public company experience preferred
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP
• Progress towards CPA certification is a plus
• Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, hybrid in the US.
• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements ). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions.
