Job Title: Part Qualified Accountant / Qualified Accountant

We are seeking a Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant to join a leading utilities construction organization based in Hatfield, Welywn Garden City. This is a full-time, permanent position.

The Company Accountant role offers ACCA/Study support for finance candidates working towards ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualifications.

This is a fast-paced, busy opportunity for an experienced Accountant with excellent management accounts knowledge. The role provides the chance to join a dynamic and established finance team with an excellent remuneration package.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Head of Finance and support the ledger team
2. Assist in preparing Monthly Management Accounts
3. Conduct Monthly Payroll Spend Analysis
4. Calculate and process accruals and prepayments
5. Prepare and submit VAT returns
6. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
7. Manage High Spend Reporting, Cost Analysis, and Variance Analysis
8. Utilize Sage 200 software
9. Maintain excellent Excel skills
10. Assist in management accounts preparation

Requirements:

• Full driving license and access to a car
• Experience within utilities, construction, or engineering industries is highly advantageous

Additional Details:

• Hybrid working: up to 2 days per week (40%)
• Working hours: 08:00 - 16:00, Monday to Friday
• Full study support provided
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
