Job summary

Jmf Associates near the Kent/Southeast London border seeks an experienced Practice Trained Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients. You will prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, and handle tax computations while liaising with HMRC.

You will train/supervise junior staff and prepare Management Accounts, Year-End accounts, and VAT returns. A strong track record in an accountancy practice and proficiency with Excel and accounting software are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified or Qualified by Experience with a strong track record in an Accountancy Practice
• Experience in an Accountancy Practice
• Desirable exposure to Xero, Sage Line 50 or QuickBooks; MS Excel essential
• Experience training/supervising junior staff
• Preparation of accounts and VAT returns; liaison with HMRC

Due to expansion, an experienced Practice Trained Senior Accountant is sought by a well-established firm Accountants based near the Kent/Southeast London border. You will be responsible for your portfolio of clients and have proven experience working in a similar role.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Preparation of limited company, partnership, and sole trader accounts
• Tax computations
• Training/supervising junior members of staff
• Preparation of Management Accounts / Year-End accounts
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Liaison with HMRC.

Requirements of the Senior Accountant:

• Qualified or Qualified by Experience with a strong track record working for an Accountancy Practice
• Exposure to either Xero, Sage Line 50 or QuickBooks is desirable, but possessing good MS Excel skills is essential
• First-rate interpersonal/communication skills.
