Job description

We are currently working with a well-respected accountancy practice near Dartford seeking an experienced Senior Accountant. They are looking for a hard-working, self-motivated individual with at least 3 years of accountancy practice experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparation and review of self-assessment tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, rental portfolios and individuals
• Preparation of Corporation Tax returns for companies
• Preparation, review and submission of VAT returns
• Ad hoc projects as they arise, including HMRC Let Property Campaign disclosures, Inheritance Tax reviews, etc.
• Assist in the merger of our two practices

Requirements / Qualifications

• At least 3 years of accountancy practice experience
• Self-starter
• Ability to implement and consistently improve on best practice within the firm
• Willing to play an active role in helping to develop and implement a strategic plan
• Ability to deliver systems training to staff and clients, when necessary
• Ability to use own judgment and excel at problem-solving
