Job description

RECfinancial is currently shortlisting for a Leicester-based business in search of an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant for a permanent hybrid role. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate your skills as a Bookkeeper / Management Accountant and advance your career.

Reporting to an experienced manager, your responsibilities will include supporting all aspects of general accounting and finance to help achieve financial objectives. Our client seeks someone who enjoys a variety of work.

You will join an experienced team with a shared goal of excellence. The role is accessible from Leicestershire and Warwickshire.

Main Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper / Management Accountant:
  1. Sage or Xero (preferred but not essential)
  2. Journal entries for payroll
  3. Account reconciliations
  4. Preparing and submitting VAT returns
  5. Processing payments via BACs
  6. Knowledge of accruals and prepayments
  7. Dealing with HMRC as needed
  8. Liaising with clients and internal finance team
  9. Preparing or assisting with Management Accounts
Candidate Profile:
  • Minimum 12-18 months in a similar role
  • Previous bookkeeping experience essential
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
