Job summary

Blusource is recruiting in Gainsborough for an accountancy role at a Semi-Senior level, with flexibility to hire from Assistant Accountant to Senior Accountant. Salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Hybrid working is available, with two days a week from home. Study support for AAT/ACA/ACCA qualifications is offered, and applications without qualifications but with relevant experience are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Preparation of financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and companies.
• Assist with management accounts and bookkeeping tasks.
• Provide guidance on appropriate accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Supporting audit engagements where needed
• Producing business tax computations along with relevant supporting schedules
• Working as part of the accounts team to manage a portfolio of clients, handling year-end accounts and addressing ad hoc queries throughout the year
• Assisting with management accounts, bookkeeping tasks, and VAT return preparation
• Providing guidance to clients on the most appropriate accounting software for their business needs
• Carrying out general administrative duties to maintain a high level of client service
• Supporting managers on a variety of assignments, both within the office and occasionally on-site
