Job summary

Blusource Finance Limited in Loughborough is seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant or Senior level candidate to join a modern, client-focused practice. You will handle accounts prep for sole traders, partnerships, and Limited Companies while supporting larger statutory accounts and tax work.

The role offers hybrid working (1 day from home) and opportunities for progression, with study support available to assist your professional development within a growing firm.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies.
• Experience with VAT returns and tax computations.
• Good understanding of Making Tax Digital (MTD) processes is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and Limited Companies from various client data levels.
• Assist with larger statutory accounts ready for audit from more comprehensive client data.
• Software training for clients.
• Preparation of bank and control account reconciliations.
• Some payroll work is involved; experience is beneficial.
• Preparation of VAT Returns.
• Preparation of income tax returns.
• Preparation of corporation tax returns.
• Liaising with and assisting clients on Making Tax Digital.

An accountancy firm in Loughborough, who are established but also modern in approach and work methods, are looking to hire a key job opportunity. They are keen to hire the right Semi-Senior Accountant, but can be flexible on the level they hire at, with Senior Accountants also being considered.

No audit work is undertaken by the business. Pro-active tax planning and advice underlies a high proportion of the work undertaken.
