Job summary

Jmf Associates, a well-established firm near the Kent/Southeast London border, seeks an experienced Practice Trained Senior Accountant to manage your client portfolio and lead with strong technical accounting.

You will handle limited company, partnership and sole trader accounts, tax computations, VAT returns, and liaise with HMRC, while training junior staff to maintain high standards and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Qualified or Qualified by Experience with a strong track record in an Accountancy Practice.
• Experience with Xero, Sage Line 50 or QuickBooks preferred; strong Excel skills essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Job description

Due to expansion, an experienced Practice Trained Senior Accountant is sought by a well-established firm Accountants based near the Kent/Southeast London border. You will be responsible for your portfolio of clients and have proven experience working in a similar role.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Preparation of limited company, partnership, and sole trader accounts
• Tax computations
• Training/supervising junior members of staff
• Preparation of Management Accounts / Year-End accounts
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Liaison with HMRC.

Requirements of the Senior Accountant:

• Qualified or Qualified by Experience with a strong track record working for an Accountancy Practice
• Exposure to either Xero, Sage Line 50 or QuickBooks is desirable, but possessing good MS Excel skills is essential
• First-rate interpersonal/communication skills.
