Robert Half are pleased to be recruiting an Accountant on a permanent basis with a growing organisation based in Chippenham. This role would suit an ACCA/CIMA qualified Accountant with previous experience of financial and management reporting.

The role

The Accountant will work closely with the Head Of Finance, taking responsibility for a division of the business and reporting on all financial matters for that division. This role would suit someone stepping up into the role or someone who has operated at a Finance Manager/Financial Controller level who is looking to develop the role, division, team and systems/processes. The business is going through an exciting period of growth and change posing opportunities to develop this role and team. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Financial reporting and maintaining accounting controls including IFRS 16.
• Ownership of monthly accounts production including reconciliations.
• Business partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders including the Head of Finance, Treasury, internal sales managers and external auditors.
• Financial analysis and reporting with commentary.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Work with the management accountant to calculate the deferred tax liability and produce the annual tax packs for the external auditors.
• Monthly and quarterly VAT returns.

Profile

This role would suit an ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with broad experience encompassing both financial and management accounting. Key skills attributes will include:

• Strong business partnering capabilities.
• Knowledge of leasing/IFRS 16 would be advantageous.
• CIMA/ACCA qualified with 3+ years PQE.
• Forward thinking with a solutions orientated mindset.
