Job summary

Scrutton Bland, part of the Sumer Group, invites applications for an Early Careers Trainee Programme in Ipswich. You’ll begin in a friendly team, gaining hands-on experience in Audit or Accounts while training toward your qualification (AAT or ACA).

You’ll participate in the Sumer Academy and a group-wide cohort, with full study support and mentoring to develop technical and soft skills for a successful accounting career.

Qualifications

• Strong A-Level or equivalent academic history, including a minimum of a Grade C/5 in English and B/6 in Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent).
• You’ll join a training contract combining practical client experience with professional study towards your qualification (AAT or ACA).

Responsibilities

• From day one, work with a range of clients gaining hands-on experience within Audit or Accounts.
• Prepare accounts, support audits, or provide insightful business advice depending on the team.
• Progress through training, developing technical and soft skills for a long-term career.
