Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Accountable Pharmacist to lead the Clinical Trials Aseptic Services (CTAS) within the Trust. You will manage unlicensed injectables, ATMPs and IMS, ensuring GMP, QAAPS, and GCP compliance across trial activities.

You will oversee aseptic preparation for hundreds of trials, line-manage radiopharmacy and hyperpolarising gas units, and mentor pharmacy staff.

Qualifications

• UK registered pharmacist with aseptics or manufacturing experience.
• Leads a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, SMT & healthcare scientists.
• Supports GMP and QAAPS standards delivery.

Responsibilities

• Accountable Pharmacist for Clinical Trials Aseptic Services (CTAS) and unlicensed injectables (IMPs, ATMPs).
• Line-manage Production Manager(s) for Radiopharmacy & Hyperpolarising Gas Units.
• Ensure GCP requirements are met and sponsor-aligned trial setup.
• Act as expert advisor for aseptic preparation and ATMPs, maintaining patient safety.
