Qualifications

About the role

The Account Manager (AM) manages the end-to-end sales process for specific customer segments, identifying opportunities, managing account plans, and executing sales strategies. The role aims to grow the business, increase market share, and secure product positioning, focusing on clinical and economic stakeholders.

This permanent position is part of the UK & Ireland Urology team, covering North East England. You will join a team of Account Managers, Capital Business Development Specialists, and Key Account Managers supporting Urology sales and development.

Your responsibilities will include
  1. Contributing to annual strategic planning with detailed business intelligence.
  2. Understanding account needs, developing detailed account plans, and executing sales strategies accordingly.
  3. Developing stakeholder maps, defining touchpoints, and maintaining updated account information.
  4. Building relationships with economic and clinical stakeholders, promoting health economics, and engaging decision-makers.
  5. Supporting clinical colleagues in sales opportunities derived from clinical support.
  6. Gathering information on tenders and negotiations, preparing proposals, and participating in negotiations.
  7. Supporting deal models and creating IPATs for Top Tier 1 accounts.
  8. Reaching out to customers about new agreements and identifying new sales opportunities.
  9. Updating sales activities in the CRM system and participating in regular reviews.
What are we looking for in you
  • Degree in Biomedical Sciences or healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, or life sciences sales is beneficial.
  • Experience in urology is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to understand complex technical details.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic marketplace.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, influential, flexible, and persistent.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as required.
