Account Manager (Spirits) - London, London

About us:

We are a multi-award-winning drinks and technology start-up aiming to disrupt the drinks industry. We re-imagine online drinks retail with cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service, focusing on high-end whisky and spirits. Our culture is built on innovation and challenging the status quo.

The role:

You will develop and manage a customer account base within the Independent On-Trade (IFT), leveraging the Master of Malt platform to grow distribution and visibility of our brands. Your goal is to act as a consultant to trade customers, promoting our craft spirits journey.

Primary responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining existing accounts and creating new business opportunities across your region, including wholesalers.
  2. Identifying growth opportunities based on Net Revenue and Margin contributions, and developing investment plans.
  3. Collaborating with internal teams to support core product lines and ensure ROI.
  4. Using your expertise in craft spirits and consumer trends to facilitate product ranging and grow MoM Trade basket spend.
  5. Driving distribution and sales of Maverick brands and expanding wider portfolio presence.
  6. Partnering with external sales managers to support distribution and land new opportunities.
  7. Collaborating on activations with third-party brands in high-end venues and wholesalers.

  • Driven to achieve KPIs with attention to detail, especially in numbers and analysis.

Minimum requirements:

  • Experience in account management within the spirits industry, including product launches or extensions.
  • Experience in new business development in On-Trade, Wholesale, or Retail sectors.
  • Knowledge of the UK spirits market and key players.
  • Strong product knowledge across spirits categories, especially craft spirits.
  • Skills in commercial investment management, negotiation, and analytics.
  • IT skills, including Google Suite and presentation creation.
  • Educational background to 'A' level or equivalent; higher qualifications like WSET Level 3 or degree preferred.
