Account Manager

Reports to Account Director/Senior Account Director

Job Summary

Working closely with other members of the client services team and in partnership with the Medical Writers, you will work on a variety of clients to ensure successful and timely planning, development and implementation of project deliverables to the highest quality standards.

  • Acting as point of contact for specified clients
  • Taking full responsibility for and managing the day-to-day delivery of all projects related to assigned clients
  • Ensuring effective communication of project briefs to the internal team
  • Coordinating effectively and efficiently with appropriate team members
  • Ensuring all projects are on brief when delivered
  • Ensuring timely delivery of projects
  • Keeping clients continually updated on project progress
  • Managing all financial aspects of project delivery
  • Collaborating with the Account Director in developing the clients
  • Being responsible for the approval process and ensuring quality control
  • Understanding various client brands and disease areas
  • Supporting relationships and interactions with key opinion leaders (clinical, industry, NHS)
  • Supporting and maintaining working relationships with all clients, including senior contacts, as appropriate

Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Experience as a Senior Account Executive or Project Executive within a healthcare agency
  • An interest and basic understanding of science and medicine
  • Sound project management and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize; excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good understanding of the ABPI code of practice
