Account Manager - Events

£30,000 - £40,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

Our client runs the leading food and music festival in the UK, and there is a need to hire a talented events sales professional to join the team.

Think industry-leading chefs, great food stalls, top DJs, and music artists…

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Partnerships, you will be responsible for selling exhibition space for the events to both existing and new clients. Additionally, you will create bespoke sponsorship opportunities for brands to invest in. You will also have the freedom to develop new revenue-generating ideas and opportunities that will increase both sales revenue and, in collaboration with the marketing team, ticket revenue.

This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the best events in the world. You will be expected to take on responsibility quickly, learn rapidly, and work with some fabulous people, including colleagues and celebrities.

If you have a great event idea, there might be an opportunity to develop and launch it. There are no barriers—if you're talented and motivated, you can progress from sales executive to event director within 3 to 4 years.

Key Profile Requirements:

  1. A strong background in selling exhibition and/or sponsorship packages
  2. Initiative—proactive and able to work independently
  3. Self-sufficient, motivated, resilient, and assertive; capable of handling objections and working under pressure
  4. Strong planning, organization, and time management skills
  5. Assertive team player capable of working with strong personalities
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; credible diplomat and ambassador
  7. Resilient, determined, problem solver, and decision-maker
  8. Experience in new business generation
  9. Proficient in managing key accounts
  10. An all-rounder capable of switching seamlessly from managing major accounts to cold calling smaller clients
