Spotless Commercial Cleaning Ltd is seeking an Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of sites across Kent, Sussex and surrounding areas. You will manage cleaning teams, meet clients, and ensure high service standards are delivered.

This hands-on role includes site visits, quality audits, recruitment, and maintaining staffing levels while upholding Health & Safety standards, with some early mornings and occasional weekend flexibility. A full UK driving licence is required.

Kent, Sussex and Surrounding Areas | £35,000 + Company Vehicle | Full Time

Spotless Commercial Cleaning is looking for an Area Manager to take responsibility for a portfolio of customer sites across Kent, Sussex and the surrounding areas.

This is a varied, hands‑on management position where you'll have real responsibility for your sites, your teams and your customers. You'll spend your time supporting cleaning teams, meeting clients, maintaining standards and making sure we deliver the service our customers expect.

What you’ll be doing

• You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of customer sites, including:
• Leading, supporting and motivating your cleaning teams
• Building strong relationships with customers
• Visiting sites and completing quality audits
• Recruiting and onboarding new team members
• Ensuring staffing levels and cleaning standards are maintained
• Managing attendance and resolving operational issues
• Maintaining high Health & Safety standards
• Working alongside other Area Managers and the wider Spotless team
• You’ll be visible, approachable and willing to get involved when your teams need support.

Who we’re looking for

We’re much more interested in your attitude, leadership ability and people skills than ticking every box.

You’ll ideally have:

• Previous supervisory or management experience
• Experience leading frontline teams
• Good organisation and communication skills
• A full UK driving licence

Experience in commercial cleaning or facilities management would be an advantage, but we’d also welcome experienced managers from other fast‑paced, multi‑site environments.

Working pattern

• This is a 40-hour, primarily Monday‑Friday position. Because cleaning teams often work outside normal office hours, some early morning and occasional weekend flexibility is required. You’ll have flexibility to organise your diary to make sure your teams and customers receive the support they need.
