Job summary

Print Match is seeking an Account Manager to manage a diverse client portfolio and act as the liaison between customers and a dynamic shop floor across print sectors. You will ensure each department meets client needs, manage orders on the MIS system, and grow the existing account base.

You will maintain accurate production instructions, track progress, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to deliver high-quality output on time.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the Print sector with Digital and Litho print.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organised with good time management.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Proactive with initiative to drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Raising accurate estimates on the MIS system and quoting customers.
  • Briefing Operations Manager to ensure projects are produced to high quality.
  • Updating dashboards and WIP spreadsheets for visibility.
  • Creating Job Bags with clear production instructions for all departments.
  • Liaising with suppliers to arrange Outwork and manage Purchase Orders on MIS.
  • Managing work in progress and tracking production stages to on-time delivery.
  • Ensuring products meet customer specs and are delivered on time, signing off proofs.
  • Confirming delivery dates with clients and coordinating with Despatch and courier partners.
  • Documenting customer visits and discussions for Directors and departments.
  • Upselling company services to grow existing business.

Job description

As an Account Manager you will look after a portfolio of clients across various niche markets. You will be the liaison between customers and a fast-paced shop floor, making sure each department meets their needs on time. The Account Management team play a fundamental role in achieving sales targets by fully understanding customers’ needs and requirements whilst maintaining and expanding their current account base. Coupled with this, you will be responsible for issuing accurate instructions to the factory and recording all transactions on the MIS system. You must work in an organised manner, be able to take ownership of your work and be able to proactively manage work in progress. The role requires you to work cohesively with all departments to deliver a high standard of service and in developing new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raising accurate Estimates on the MIS system capturing all costs and quoting customers.
  • Briefing Operation Manager to ensure each project is produced to the highest quality.
  • Updating Dashboards and Work in Progress spreadsheets for visibility.
  • Creating Job Bags, ensuring instructions are accurate and clear for all departments.
  • Consulting with suppliers to arrange Outwork and developing relationships, ensuring our Warehouse & Purchasing Manager can accurately raise and receipt Purchase Orders raised on the MIS system.
  • Manage all work in progress effectively, making certain that you know at what stage in production your jobs are progressing to throughout their journey.
  • Ensuring the product is manufactured to the exact customer specification, to a high standard, and that it is delivered on time, including signing off proofs.
  • Confirming delivery dates to clients, consulting with the Despatch team and courier partner company regarding consignments distributed worldwide.
  • Managing timelines and the deadlines your customers need to meet to ensure production milestones are achieved.
  • Investigating and troubleshooting issues, resolving within an acceptable time frame.
  • Preparing jobs for accurate billing to customers on a weekly basis where applicable.
  • Documenting all customer visits and important discussions to Directors, Line Managers and relevant departments.
  • Collaborating with your team members, supporting them with their workload if required and covering holiday.
  • Upselling all company services to proactively grow existing business.
  • Assisting other departments with monthly housekeeping requirements.
  • Ensuring customers and suppliers deliver as per our Goods in Procedure to support Warehouse team.
  • Log NCRs on our MIS system to ensure they are addressed by the management team and corrective actions are put in place where appropriate.
  • Have flexibility to conduct ad hoc tasks as requested by the management team.
Personal Specifications
  • Be an excellent communicator, be it with customers, suppliers or colleagues by telephone, email, or face to face.
  • Possess good planning and organisational skills, working well under pressure.
  • Be initiative-taking with the ability to meet targets and deadlines set.
  • Demonstrate good critical thinking skills whilst working tactfully and with a friendly attitude.
  • Be adaptable to change and not afraid to keep looking at ways to improve ourselves personally and as a business.
  • Be competent in your ability to make good commercial decisions with the aim to increase gross profit.
  • Find solutions to problems independently and be confident in executing them.
  • Share your workload with colleagues and help others around you, be the ultimate team player.
Skills and Competencies
  • Experience working in the Print sector with a background in Digital and Litho print.
  • Experience of mailing is desirable.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Highly organised
  • Intermediate IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to take initiative.
  • Good time management
  • Be the ultimate team player.
