Job description

Our client is a global financial technology company dedicated to making international money management and cross-border payments seamless, transparent, and affordable for individuals and businesses worldwide. Their business division equips enterprises with multi-currency accounts, fast international payments, and cash flow management tools without the high costs of traditional banking.

The company is expanding this offering by launching an exclusive, in-person business centre designed to provide high-value corporate clients with a dedicated, relationship‑led service akin to private banking.

The Opportunity

A new London‑based business centre is launching to provide select business clients with in‑person account support, strategic reviews, and a personalised banking relationship. We are hiring an inaugural cohort of Account Specialists to lead this service: managing client portfolios, hosting stakeholders on‑site, and acting as their primary trusted adviser. This is a ground‑floor opportunity to help define the standard of premium client management for an industry‑leading fintech, with direct input into how the centre and service model develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of high‑value business clients, serving as their dedicated point of contact for day‑to‑day requirements and strategic account reviews.
  • Partner closely with the Head of Business Operations to establish operational workflows and ensure the centre's long‑term success.
  • Host clients face‑to‑face at the centre for onboarding sessions, regular check‑ins, and ad hoc support, delivering a high‑touch, white‑glove experience.
  • Conduct structured business reviews to analyse evolving client requirements and identify strategic opportunities to add value.
  • Identify and drive product adoption across the business product suite, including multi‑currency accounts, batch payments, corporate cards, and API integrations.
  • Resolve client issues directly, coordinating with Risk, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure rapid resolution.
  • Monitor account health metrics—including retention, platform usage, and customer satisfaction—to proactively flag risk and expansion potential.
  • Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of client interactions, pipelines, and activity within the CRM.
  • Synthesise customer insights and feed them back to Product and Service teams to help iterate and enhance the centre’s offering.
  • Embody the company’s brand values and professional standards across all in‑person client interactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 1–2 years of experience in account management, client relationship management, or B2B sales.
  • 3+ years of total professional work experience.
  • Strong problem‑solving and operational abilities, with the versatility to contribute to team building beyond core relationship management.
  • High‑level communication and interpersonal skills, with the presence and confidence to host clients in a premium setting.
  • A commercial mindset with a demonstrated track record of hitting retention, growth, or satisfaction targets.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple client relationships, operational tasks, and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Based in or able to commute full‑time to the London location.
  • Prior exposure to FX, international payments, multi‑currency accounts, or SME commercial banking products.
  • Hands‑on proficiency with CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot).
What’s on Offer
  • Competitive base salary plus comprehensive benefits package.
  • The opportunity to shape an innovative, high‑visibility service model from the ground up alongside senior leadership.
  • Structured career progression into senior relationship management or operational leadership roles as the centre expands.
