We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and detail-oriented individual to join our Finance Team as an Assistant Management Accountant. Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Management Accountant to deliver high-quality management accounting services.
• Provide the production management team with accurate financial insights and performance analysis to inform strategic decisions and drive operational efficiency.
• Report on key metrics such as yield and labour efficiency; produce timely weekly and monthly variance reports; assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts with a focus on overheads.
• Compile and present departmental variance reports to cost centre managers, offering analysis to support performance improvement.
• Own the fixed asset register, ensure accurate transaction tracking in SAP, and monitor capital project spend with clear reports for senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting, and broader business planning activities.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for turning financial data into meaningful business insight.

Education and experience

• Part-qualified AAT or early-stage CIMA, ACCA, or CA student
• Previous experience in a management accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing or supply chain environment
• Strong IT proficiency with advanced Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems
