Client Service Advisor - Commercial SME Insurance - Leeds

Do you have experience in handling commercial insurance requirements from a wide and varied portfolio of clients? Are you adept at building lasting working relationships with clients and insurers alike?

If so, then we'd love to hear from you regarding this fantastic new Client Service Advisor role that will be part of our SME insurance team.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Leeds City Centre office.

What the day will look like

As a Client Service Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Working independently while supporting your team to ensure delivery of the highest level of service to each assigned client.
  2. Identifying potential improvements in client risk & insurance programs and implementing recommended changes if required.
  3. Negotiating new business terms, renewal terms, mid-term adjustments, and cover extensions.
  4. Preparing comprehensive marketing presentations and renewal reports to facilitate full cover comparisons.
  5. Establishing and developing effective relationships with insurers, differentiating with the client based on cover, service, and industry knowledge.
  6. Identifying revenue development opportunities on allocated client accounts and making appropriate recommendations.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Commercial insurance experience, ideally gained at an insurance broker
  • Familiarity with FCA principles, procedures, and processes
  • Good technical knowledge, especially in UK commercial insurance classes such as Property, Liability, Fleet, and Combined
  • Organized, with the ability to prioritize and deliver accurate work on time
  • Positive attitude towards change
  • Proven relationship management skills
  • Team player with collaborative skills
  • Experience using the Acturis system
